The Big Move, Baby!

It's been a few weeks now and Stephen and I are so happy here in Charlotte! It was quite the move and I for one and happy to put it behind me. In a nutshell, our house was packed and shipped for us as well as our cars. Our cars got to us in about two weeks but our stuff took almost four. We were in hotels for a couple weeks before we hit our breaking point (fleas in the carpet of our hotel room) when we moved into our rental house with nothing but our suitcases and an air mattress that we bought. That was not cool very long so we got some ikea furniture and just got by for a couple more weeks until everything else got here.

We escaped the craziness for a few days and went on a little trip to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was beautiful and so thick with trees. I think we will have to be gone from Utah a little longer to feel like these were really mountains or that the walk we went on was really a hike but it was prefect for a pregnant lady!

Less than a week after we got our stuff my doctors here told us that they thought it would be best to induce my labor a little early to make sure our little guy is ok. We are going into the hospital tonight, ready or not! This has been a busy week of rushing to get everything in place and ready to have our baby but nothing like motivation I guess! Our house is pretty much finished being unpacked and of course we have a few odds and ends and things to hang on the walls to finish up but I am happy with what we've got for now (mostly that there aren't cardboard boxes everywhere and that it's clean)

The nursery (lots to hang on the walls still and our rocking chair that we ordered is a couple weeks out)

  1. First and foremost, congrats!! And where are some baby pics?! That is a lot of change and a lot of craziness for one summer! Your house is adorable and I hope that you guys really like it out there. I think you guys could live just about anywhere and be happy, well except maybe India. :)
